Privacy Policy

CheckPlease is a tip calculator designed to help users quickly calculate tips and split bills.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Information You Provide

CheckPlease allows you to enter or configure:

• bill amounts
• sales tax percentage
• custom tip percentage
• tip calculation preferences (before or after tax)
• appearance preference (System, Light, or Dark)

All of the above is stored locally on your device. It is not transmitted to any server controlled by the developer.

No Accounts or Personal Data Collection

• No account creation required
• No personal data collected by the developer
• No in-app purchases or subscriptions
• No analytics or behavioral tracking by the developer

Advertising

CheckPlease displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob.

To support advertising, the following may be collected by Google:

• your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS), if you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt
• basic interaction data with displayed ads (impressions and clicks)
• diagnostic information used to keep the ad SDK functioning reliably

If you do not grant tracking permission, Google will serve non-personalized ads instead.

App Tracking Transparency

On iOS, CheckPlease uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework to ask whether you allow tracking. You can change this choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Data Storage

• Your settings are stored only on your device
• No cloud sync is provided
• Data may be removed when the app is uninstalled (subject to device backup settings)

Data Sharing

CheckPlease does not sell or share your information. The only data sharing that occurs is described above under "Advertising," and is performed by Google's advertising SDK to deliver ads.

Security

Data security depends on your device's protections. No method of storage is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

CheckPlease is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated. Changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
