MPG

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 17, 2026

MPG is a gas mileage, trip, and vehicle maintenance tracker. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Information You Provide

MPG lets you enter information about your vehicles, such as:

All of this information is stored locally on your device. It is not transmitted to any server controlled by the developer. Backups you create are files that you control and store where you choose.

No Accounts

Location

The optional "Nearby Stations" feature uses your device's location, with your permission, to show gas stations near you on a map. Your location is used only on the device at that moment. It is never collected, stored, or transmitted by the developer, and you can use the entire rest of the app without granting location access.

Advertising

The free version of MPG shows banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use certain data to serve ads, including device advertising identifiers, IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), and ad interaction data.

Google's use of advertising data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising policies.

Purchases

MPG Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by the Apple App Store. The developer does not receive or store any payment information.

Data Storage

Data Sharing

MPG does not sell or share your information. The only exceptions are the limited advertising data processed by Google AdMob as described above, and purchase processing by Apple.

Security

Data security depends on your device's protections. No method of storage is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

MPG is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated. Changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
